Why join us?
Looking for a way to get politically active without the echo chamber? I joined SoBoCo, and it’s been a total game-changer.
If you’re tired of being told what to think and want a space where facts, truth, and critical thinking actually matter, this is the place for you.

I joined SoBoCo to protect our democracy! Why wouldn’t I actively participate in a local group with multiple and easy and flexible opportunities to make a positive impact? After participating in various local groups, SoBoCo was the most friendly and benefit-targeted group and we encourage you to join us!

I joined SoBoCo Indivisible in September 2025. It wasn't long before I dove in and became a Safety Marshall, and started helping with events like potluck BBQs and monthly gatherings. I'm a crafty person, and proud to say that I started the ROCK Painting which we do every two months—who knew people would love doing that! With SoBoCo, I've also knitted frog hats, made a huge "Pat the Patriot" puppet, and created lots of (G-rated!!) signs. I enjoy the kinship & effort we all put into making our voices matter—I have faith that we're being heard!

I joined SoBoCo for a few reasons. SoBoCo felt very welcoming and had a low bar for entry. What I mean by that is that it was super super easy to get involved, to get to know people, and find outlets for activism. The vibe of the people in the group really resonated with me. That has become important as the crimes pile up; when I get down about politics, I have had like-minded folks and accessible means for venting my frustration and doing something.

I joined SoBoCo Indivisible because I knew I needed to do the work, and I wanted to do work for the community, with the community. SoBoCo offers a variety of ways to get involved.

I joined SoBoCo Indivisible to connect with members of my local community who share my perspective and need to be active participants. The crafting events that are hosted by SoBoCo are a fun way to connect with others as we make signs or knit frog hats. Hosting candidates for office such as Kyle Brown (State House) and Michael Dougherty (CO Attorney General) provides the opportunity to give feedback to politicians. The group is welcoming and inclusive.

I joined to be part of a team that is protecting democracy our children and grandchildren. I appreciate the new friends I have made who make me feel less alone and overwhelmed in this fight. Knowing that we are all doing what we can, where we can, helps. I can’t do everything but all of us doing little each adds up to a lot.

I joined SoBoCo Indivisible having never been previously part of an activist group. It felt right and meaningful for me to get involved due to recent events and the disturbing political climate in our country. It is very easy to feel alone amidst all of this division and chaos. The SoBoCo team has been welcoming, passionate, and comforting during a time I needed it most in my life. I'm very grateful to be a part of such a dedicated group with designs on making our country a better place for us and the generations that follow.

Like many people, I'm horrified by the cruelty and corruption I see on the news every day. I joined SoBoCo Indivisible because taking action with a group is more fun and more effective than doomscrolling. I really like that the group is run in a very open and collaborative way. It's easy for anyone to get involved.

It's not in my nature to sit on the side, feeling powerless, while things around me fall apart. SoBoCo Indivisible provides a well-organized platform which unites us in meaningful action. Other reasons I appreciate this group include the ways they're cultivating a rich community, and are actively coordinating with aligned organizations.
I’m so glad I found them!
Theresa
